Tips

  • Have Fun
  • Ask for help when you need it. We have volunteers willing to help, as well your fellow attendees can be very helpful.
  • Do not stress about getting to every author. Most attendees will be able to see their top 5 authors, make new friends and find new authors to read.
  • Stay hydrated. Bring a bottle of water with you. We will have water stations around to refill at.
  • Use Post-Its. Have your name (or name of person the book is being singed to) on a Post-It to make it easier for the author.
  • Bring Sharpies or coloured pens with you. Most authors will have them at their tables but it doesn’t hurt to be prepared.
  • Bring a phone charger.
  • The signing room will get warm, so bring a fan or cooling towel with you to keep cool.
  • Wi-Fi, the venue has wi-fi but with a lot of people on it, it can be slow.
  • Payment, bring cash and have PayPal ready on your phone.
  • Talk to everyone around you. Find new authors. Make new friends. We are all here because we love to read so that is the perfect ice breaker.
